THE DRIVER : Who is Greg Mildren and What Makes Him Tick?
Born in Australia in 1963, Greg has always applied
110% effort and precision towards everything he tackles. An important
trait of character for success in racing. As a qualified radio/electrical
technician for the Defence, Science & Technology Organisation (DSTO),
at Salisbury, Greg also gained qualifications as a motor mechanic,
enabling him to pursue his passion - motor sport. Leaving the DSTO
in 1990, Greg established Rotary Automotive Services, (incorporating
Mildren Race Engineering), building it into Mildren Enterprises
Pty. Ltd. in 1994. As the business continued to thrive, it swiftly
outgrew its original building space and Greg moved the operation
into purpose built new premises in 1998. Mildren Enterprises Pty.
Ltd. now employs four permanent staff. Since establishing Rotary
Automotive Services, much of Greg's efforts, resources and time
have been spent building solid business relationships, a strong
asset base, factory and staff, to be able to cope the high demands
of a successful motor racing team.
But why motor sport? Because it's the only sport
that provides the elements of a challenge that both suit and stimulate
Greg. - The element of danger. The need for dogged determination.
And the discipline, preparation, intensity and concentration required
in a winner. That's why, in 1987, Greg formed Mildren Racing. A
South Australian organisation made up of like-minded, forward thinking
individuals with a common goal, to be the best!
And one look at this record confirms Greg is
definitely on the right track.
